Personal Information

Becky joined the CCFL in 2008 as a Field Training Specialist. She resides in North Platte, where she was born and raised.  She and her husband, Brandon, have one daughter.  Her interests include children’s ministries at her church, Husker football and volleyball, cruising in the Caribbean, and spending time with her family and their two dogs. 

Education

  • B.S. in Family Science from University of Nebraska-Lincoln, 2001
  • M.S. in Criminal Justice from University of Nebraska-Omaha, 2002

Areas of Interest

  • Orientation, support, and retention of Children and Family Services Specialists in the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services System
  • Family engagement and building healthy relationships/support systems for families in crisis
  • Individualized outcomes for children and youth in the Child Welfare System
  • Advocacy for completion of education by Nebraska State wards

CCFL Projects

  • Support and oversee field based training for new Children and Family Services Specialists in the Western Service area
  • Present and assist with Car Seat Safety, N-FOCUS, Engaging Families, Child Interviewing, Critical Thinking, and Case Management 2 training
  • Provide ongoing support and in-service training for CFSS in the Western Service Area
  • Assist with revisions of CCFL curriculum and training
  • Part of the editorial team for the new CCFL weekly newsletter
