    Promoting Fairness, Responsibility and Respect
Nebraska Youth Advocates (NYA) serves as a resource center for juvenile defense attorneys in Nebraska, promoting best practices in the juvenile justice system.  The project is dedicated to giving defense attorneys the tools necessary to advocate zealously on behalf of their clients.  Training and resources are in-line with National Juvenile Defense Standards and tailored to Nebraska specific practice.  Project staff also participates in statewide and local initiatives to promote continued reform to achieve improved outcomes for youth and communities.  Through hands-on training, resource development and technical assistance, NYA is helping to build a network of well-trained defense attorneys who ensure a youth’s voice is heard in court.
